Original review: March 22, 2020I placed a large order with Bass Pro online. I received an email within minutes of placing my order with the details and realized I had put 6 # test instead of the 8# test line I was seeking.
I called the call center which I was directed to do if I needed to change anything on my order. I then immediately called and was placed on hold for what seemed like 10 minutes, I asked to modify my order as directed. I was informed by a Matthew employee number., that it was too late and he could not modify my order. Horrible customer service. I canceled my back orders and will never again make the mistake of ordering from Bass Pro shops again. Original review: Dec.
8, 2019Two employees in the Sunglasses Hut named John and Tami helped me out in not just the area in which they worked, but they were also VERY knowledgeable about a lot of other areas/products around the store! They were both very professional and nice which made my shopping experience that much better! Then there is Rachel in the clothing area who was very quick to help me get into a dressing room with a giant smile on her face! She made sure that I had everything that I needed before she left me in the dressing room. And last but not least, Cindy at the front door!
Now this is a lady that I wanted to be greeted by when I walk into a store! She was very pleasant and welcoming. I needed to get a trigger lock for my handgun in which the entire time we were talking. Starting my shopping endeavor with her really set the bar high for customer service, so as I moved through the store encountering John, Tami, and Rachel.
Let's just say that I couldn't have had a better experience. I believe that all four of them easily have the personalities and work ethic to be manager material!
SO THANK YOU GUYS!!!! You all as a team reminded me in one visit why making the 32 minute drive downtown is worth it over a 7 minute drive to Cabela's! 1) Their website for online tracking does not work, no updates whatsoever2) Fake tracking number2) Terrible untrustworthy customer serviceOn April 13, when I first called about not receiving any tracking although it has been 4 days they told me it might take up a few days for Purolator to show any tracking details. So I then called Purolator, the tracking number for the rod worked and updates showed on the Purolator website although on Bass Pro Shops tracking website there was nothing there.
They then told me the tracking number for the other fishing gears was invalid. Their company has no such number that starts with 1681.I then called BPS, after waiting online for 50 minutes and explaining them the situation again they told me they need to contact their 'office', made me wait another 15 minutes only to tell me their office is actually closed and told me to call another time.
Does employee there not know when their office closes??? Ok no big deal, I called another time.
This time they told me they will send the information to investigate and fix it for me and I should be receiving a response in the next two days.Well now it's been 4 days and nothing. So I called them just for them to tell me there department who was going to fix the problem doesn't work over the weekend and I will have to wait around 4 more days (Tuesday, the day they said my order would arrive). They also told me the shipping company they use sometimes takes a while to give tracking number. If you have shipped the item, you should have a shipping number. Only one reason to that, and that is they haven't shipped it.
An untrustworthy company who doesn't give a crap about their customers, extremely unprofessional, I will never order from them again. Original review: April 13, 2020I purchased a carbon light 7ft 2 in med light rod on March 13 2020 in the Connecticut store during their spring sale. I went fishing the following weekend and on the forth or fifth cast the rod broke about 18 inches from the end. I consider myself an avid semipro fisherman and know how to handle my equipment.
I have 8 of these carbon light model rods in my boat. I sent them an email to include a description and picture of the rod in two pieces along with the model number and got a verification number. 'Question Reference #. Your question has been received. You should expect a response from us within 24 hours. Date Created: 05:22 PM. Date Last Updated: 05:22 PM.
Status: Unresolved.' Original review: April 13, 2020It looks like they are making as much money as possible since the brick and mortar stores are closed, so they sell anything they can and try and ship as late as possible to maximize profits. It’s dirty business.
If you don’t have it in stock SAY SO! If I’m wrong, they would post items as backordered. I understand ammunition is selling like crazy.
But if you don’t have it in stock. Don’t advertise as such, and then keep telling me it will be a week.
Then a week goes by, and oh it will be another week to ten days. I don’t want to refund in case it actually ships.
Of course I’m pissed, I’m stuck at home with empty clips!,!, And fresh paint on my gongs. Original review: April 8, 2020Let me start off by saying that this is my first time ordering from BPS and I will never order anything from them again.
If there was an opportunity to give them zero stars, I certainly would. I am currently shopping for 9mm ammunition and BPS constantly reports online that their online stock is accurate. When you place your order of an 'in stock' item, you will receive an email that you are all set and you will receive your order within a week. You will then receive an order in the day or two that states that your order is on backorder and you won't receive it for 2-3 months! This place IS A JOKE. So when you call or try to chat online using their AWFUL automated services, you will expect to wait 1-2 hours just to talk to someone about getting a refund. I waited online to chat with a representative and got to 4th in line before I was mysteriously disconnected and had to join again.
I believe that there is a rush of callers due to BPS being such a terrible company and not being able to fulfill orders and people want their money back. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE EVER ORDER FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY AND I HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS.
